Fremont-Based, East Bay Families Welcome

Youth Basketball for Newark, Union City, Milpitas & Hayward Families

Silicon Valley Basketball Academy is based in Fremont, CA. We don’t have a gym in Newark, Union City, Milpitas, or Hayward — every session happens at one of six Fremont school sites. Families from all four cities already drive in for training, and this page is here to help you decide if that drive works for your family before you book anything.

No overselling: if you want a gym inside your own city limits, we’re not it. If you’re willing to drive into Fremont for real coaching, keep reading.

Know Before You Drive

What the Drive Looks Like, City by City

Each of these cities sits in a different spot relative to Fremont. Here’s what’s actually true for each one — not a copy-pasted paragraph with the city name swapped in.

01

Newark Families

Newark borders Fremont directly — it’s the only city on this page that shares a city line with Fremont rather than sitting a town away. For many Newark neighborhoods, getting to our venues doesn’t require getting on a freeway at all; it’s a surface-street trip via Fremont Blvd or Thornton Ave.

02

Union City Families

Union City sits just north of Fremont and Newark, along the I-880 / Union City Blvd corridor. It’s not adjacent to Fremont the way Newark is, so the trip typically means a short freeway or arterial run rather than a straight surface-street shot.

03

Milpitas Families

Milpitas is the only city on this page in a different county — it’s in Santa Clara County, not Alameda County like Fremont, Newark, Union City, and Hayward. Getting to our venues from Milpitas means crossing that county line, usually via I-880 or I-680.

04

Hayward Families

Hayward is the farthest north of the four cities on this page, past Union City on the I-880 corridor. It’s also the only one of these cities that isn’t a direct neighbor of Fremont or Newark — the drive down runs through Union City first.
