Basketball Tryout Instructions

Welcome to our basketball tryouts! We’re excited to see your skills in action and are here to help you shine on the court. Follow these important instructions to make the best impression possible:

1. *What to Bring*
– *Athletic Gear:* Dress in comfortable athletic wear and ensure you have proper basketball shoes to maximize your performance.
– *Water Bottle:* Hydration is key! Bring a water bottle to keep your energy up throughout the tryouts.
– *Completed Forms:* Complete the tryout form online in advance. If necessary, bring any required medical forms with you.

2. *Arrival*
– Aim to arrive at least 15 minutes early to ensure a smooth check-in and to get acclimated to the space.
– Be sure to check in with our coaching staff upon arrival—they’re eager to meet you!

3. *Warm-Up*
– Get ready for action by participating in the group warm-up led by our coaches. This vital session includes stretching and light jogging to prepare you mentally and physically.

4. *Tryout Schedule*
– *Drills:* Show off your skills in focused drills that emphasize dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense.
– *Scrimmage:* Take part in a short scrimmage to highlight your teamwork and game awareness on the court.
– *Individual Assessments:* Coaches may ask to see specific skills as part of the evaluation process.

5. *Coaching Staff*
– Make the effort to introduce yourself to the coaches, who will be closely observing your skills, attitude, and teamwork throughout the tryout.

6. *Behavior and Sportsmanship*
– Demonstrate great sportsmanship during the tryouts; this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your character. Support your teammates and maintain a positive attitude.

7. *Announcements*
– Keep an eye on your email for updates! You’ll receive information regarding tryout results within 3 business days following the event.
